A circus tent. A bold landscape. A shadowy tree in the distance. Each distinctly different, yet uniquely interpreted through a Julie Dorion's artistic lens. The sign of an overactive artistic imagination? Or merely a willingness to explore new textures, media and styles?

For Julie, it is in that journey that inspiration comes, and art is created.

Born and raised in a world of artists, Julie’s way of seeing came from a unique series of contrasts: the streets of South Bronx in the shadow of Manhattan; the rawness of familial talent shaped by the hands skilled mentors; and the careful structure of design released in the explosive freedom of the art world.

Art was always there –

From painting to pottery to illustrating books – from canvas to mural to print – Julie experiments, reaching out and grasping the real and potential in a view, an object, and a memory... real or imagined.

Her current work brings landscape and dreamscape together in bold and exciting strokes; The work begs you to spend time in front of the canvas, “walk” a different path, experience your own journey through her unique lens.
